Heres the deal: I want to upgrade my front stage, but I am limited by several factors. I only have space for 4x6 coaxial or 4"components. I don't want to fiberglass, because I have no experience with it and I don't wanna practice on my car. I don't want to do anything permanent. Also i do not want to spend over $150 because I am on a budget. I don't need anything incredibly loud, I just want it to sound real nice.

So do i go 4x6 coaxials or 4"comps? Which ones should I get?

I will be amping them if necessary.

What should I do?

Have you considered Q-Logic kick panels?

Thats what i was thinking. I know I wont get much midbass, but my subs have a pretty good range and I think the comps will get just low enough.

The question is what comps?

I was lookin at CDTs, diamond audio, and MB quart on woofersect.com

I have considered the Kick panels, but I have an alero and there will be next to no leg room. :-(

I really can't tell you what kind, just look for the bigger frequency range and watt handling. Or do kick panels, they are nice for sound and look nice. But depends your car.

You could put components in your front doors factory locations if you have them. And do slight mods for positioning if needed.

The point is that you can not fit anything bigger in the Alero's doors. The way the panel is shaped and also the depth between panel and the window is a huge factor. It really sucks lol.

Kevin, send me your map pockets and I will glass them lol.

That sucks but try having a first gen S10 or Blazer..... you get NO speakers in the doors and no depth to flush mount anything
