Monday, October 06, 2008 - 19:22 GMT Measure twice, cut once. Use bracing/support in one way or another. Use 3/4mdf wood... It would be better if you asked the questions and we answer them. I could be here all day saying random fun facts about box building.

Monday, October 06, 2008 - 22:01 GMT "Fun box building facts: #1 Table saws can and will cause bodily harm." Routers too. I have two middle fingers to prove both. haha Draw out the pieces you need on a sheet of paper to minimize waste. Figure out the best way to cut them out of your MDF

Monday, October 06, 2008 - 22:51 GMT put 45's in the corners to help lessen port noise, dont use too much glue, too many screws put too close together will split the wood and weaken it tremendously, biggest thing i have a prob with is pulling my head out of my azz when im cutting and cut things too short like they say is true "i cut it 2 and its still too short"

Monday, October 06, 2008 - 22:58 GMT Lot's of good advice. Here's some more. Let the tool do the job not your muscles. Safer for you, the tool and your project. Never use a dull anything. A blade is cheaper to replace than the saw, or a finger. If you're not familiar with the tool practice on some scrap first. MDF isn't expensive but it sucks having to drag your azz back to the store. And above all, use common sense. Some just don't possess it.
