At what point does one need to invest in additional power output for amps?
I have an Audiobahn A8002T and A16000V. Together current draw is 140A max (fused at 60 and 80A respectively).
At any moderate volume with headlights on, the lights dim considerably. Vehicle is an 01 Nissan Frontier, which has a 100 or 110A alternator IIRC.
What would be necessary to curb the dimming lights and provide adequate power to the amps? New battery? Alt? Cap? I'm running separate 4 gauge power and ground for each. Please help.
2.4 liter you have a 70 amp 3.3 liter you have a 80 amp 3.3 liter supercharged you have a 80 amp
You need a high output alternator. Stay away from a cap it wont help in your situation. mechman and quality power may be your only options from what I see but you will have to contact both. Quality power makes alternators for other vehicles im told.
