Platinum Member Username: InsearchofbassPost Number: 10544 Registered: Jun-04 | Yes area does have to do with port length and yes port length only effects tuning but you need to account for the flare in the length and the program they have accounts for it. |
Gold Member Username: BonhamdPost Number: 1174 Registered: Nov-07 | so how would i figure the total area? i have a box by FC that i got from mike and it has 3 4 inch areos IIRC its 4.5 cubes and tuned to 40 - i was messing around with that calc and trying to figure out a way to lower the tuning without mangling the box but i would also like the option to put back to 40 or higher if need be i guess i am trying to find a way to change tuning for daily and maybe go back higher if i go decide to go to a comp or get metered or something |

If you remove one port youll be around 33 hz. So if this is what you want you would take the one port out and have a removable plate to seal it when you only use two aero ports. How much power are you going to be using on the box? |

Platinum Member Username: InsearchofbassPost Number: 10547 Registered: Jun-04 | Hes not asking to use one Chad. Youll be on the border line with 2 aero ports but it should work. |
