Silver Member Username: DeadrabitPost Number: 789 Registered: Jun-07 | i am needing some kind of mic BAD! i am wanting to pay 600 bucks for something. me and my freind are looking but can't find anything. i really am not sure what is good and whta is not. i saw one that was like 20 bucks but i know it has to be worthless. or is it? i can run a cd with a different Hz and write down the spl number. i know it iwll be off on spl but will it at least give me my highest hz? it prolly wont what is an ok mic that is lower priced? i found this http://cgi.ebay.com/New-Audio-Technica-AE3000-Hi-SPL-lrg-diap-card-cond-mic_W0QQ itemZ230035692886QQcmdZViewItem?_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116 but it says "MAXIMUM INPUT SOUND LEVEL 148 dB SPL, 1 kHz at 1% T.H.D.; 158 dB SPL, with 10 dB pad (nominal)" does this mean it wont get a good reading after 148 db??? |

Silver Member Username: DeadrabitPost Number: 792 Registered: Jun-07 | wow good find! this is for MICROPHONE SENSOR ONLY so all you need to make it work is an ordinary digital multimeter that can read MILLIvolts, oscilloscope or computer sound system. Simple, easy and quick to use, just connect red(+) and black(-) clips to the (+) and (-) of any devise that reads voltage, THATS IT! This sensor requires nothing else. so how can i hook this thing to my computer? |
Silver Member Username: DeadrabitPost Number: 793 Registered: Jun-07 | i have played around with an Epic 160. if its what i used it doesn't even tell db to the tenth. not sure if what it says is true |
