so im starting the newest design for my car, a wall, and starting the build this weekend, who wants to throw some pointers out since this is my first wall =]
Umm, use a tape measure, find a cement truck and have it on stand-by and then fill your car with cement. Completely gut your car before even starting, I'm sure you already did this step though, gut everything except for the dash, headliner, seats, carpet, etc...
but a walled car at a show this weekend was made with advantex. Not mdf. 2-3 layers. In total, 6 4x8 sheets of it, 6-8' 2x4,s, like 15 lbs of screws, 2-3 gallons of resin/glass. 2 gallons of paint. In total it was about 3000 lbs of audio gear and wall in a car. He burped a 148-149 iirc.
i got 6 sheets of 4 x 8 birch,10 2 x 4 x 10, 20 foot 1inch threaded rod, big ole bucket of screws, 5 gallons of resin and hardner, i forget how much fiberglass but a plenty, and lik 4 4 x 4 x 10's to make all the 45's
You are shooting for 160?s This forum isn't the best place to ask questions about that realm of SPL. Theres maybe 4 people here who have the knowledge to break 160s. Not dissing the forum but that is the way it is. I hope you don't plan on driving this car everyday.
