Going cheap when it comes to SPL will get you nowhere. Hifonics has some good quality stuff for the price, but I wouldnt put a .25ohm load on it, even for a second. |

Platinum Member Username: InsearchofbassPost Number: 10495 Registered: Jun-04 | Wiring at a lower ohm than your amplifier is designed and yet stable for burps will provide more power at the speaker which is a good thing for spl (box rise etc). But sometimes you can have too low of box rise and have issues with the amp. Running an amp like that daily is harder on the amp and will shorten the lifespan of it. |

Silver Member Username: DeadrabitPost Number: 775 Registered: Jun-07 | i am not sure about keeping it out of protect. but with the impedance it really wont be at .25 ohm even though its wired that way. i don't have a sponsor now. i didn't tell him yes or no. i would get things really cheap. most of it half off or maybe less. like 4 or 500 for a pair of 2600 hifonics amps but i have to put the trophys i win in his shop and have an ugly sticker on my car... and i don't want to do either one.. and i don't want to run hifonics. like anyhting else if i am going to get up in the 155 to 160 db rangei am going to need some more money to power more than a daily sized amp. its a lot for me to think about. we will see what happens |
