are they absolutely necessary? i just got a CDT CL62 6.5" component set. would i really need to get the baffles? im ordering the mounting hole adapters now, would i drill the speakers/baffle into those?
im pretty lost.

baffles???? You mean those rubber things some audio shops sell? They're complete crap, and do nothing.
