It all depends on what you're doing. Sometimes a bigger box will increase output or efficiency and it could also hurt it. Would the power being used remain constant? Box rise will change as well...there are many factors that must be known to attempt to determine whether or not a bigger box will make a sub louder.
it is posible that it will be louder depending on the car but if u make it bigger than the specs it prolly wont be. if its much bigger it will be lower and sound more blah
it wont hit the lower notes any better, but kinda.. it makes things seem lower. but its not in a good way. it wont "hit the low notes" it will play everything lower and sound lots worse
