i have a 1000 w ma audio amp pushing 2 12" kenwoods and the amp goes into protect mode after playing for like 10 20 min. i have the ground on the best grond in the trunk (trunk latch)
is this because my power wire is to small and the amp is trying to hard and over heating? if so what should i do?
Try shorting the distance from the amp to the ground. Is that the same wire you used for your ground? How big is your in line fuse? I gtg but should be back on in about an hour or so. some one else might be able to help you out right quick.
What impedance are the woofers, how do u have them wired and what impedance is the amp stable too?
If everythings correct. It could just be that ur amps just not getting good ventilation, and the fact that its probably not built to sturdy. Try putting 1/2 inch pvc spacers under it, to lift it up and get more air flow around it.
Try mounting it right side up, and put some spacers between whatever its mounted too and the feet of the amp, if u dont have pvc spacers, some bolt nuts will work.
Ther was a guy on here not to long ago who was selling a buch at a really good price,I just cant remember his name. Post somthing in the for sell forum saying you want wire,or ask for his name on the subwoofers forum somone in ther will remember.
