So as some might now I just picked up a 93' camaro. The car has under drive pulleys so the alt is putting out alot less power. I notice at dead idle the voltage is around ~12volts. So I am going to be running my built TC9 at 2.8ohms on my AQ1200 (looking around ~700w). Anyone think my electrical won't handle it? I'll guess I'm gonna figure out anyways...
Second, since I wont have enough power to get my sub to really move and I will eventually buy another sub, I was thinking about doing a semi-infinite baffle, but the lower hatch/t-top storage will still work somewhat like a box I guess. Now my amp will be sitting where the t-tops should go, sound like a bad idea since thats where my sub will be mounted? Since in an odd way the amp would be inside my so called box?
No HO alt for me, don't have the money. I'm only gonna be driving this car for another 2 1/2 months before it gets put in storage for the winter so I don't want to dedicate a system around it.
What do you think about the IB idea? Worth a shot or just a waste of time?
Did you ever check out that thirdgen forum I suggested? lots of good guy's on there with great info and it's a audio forum for camaros they have what you wanna know.
I never really checked it out, since I have a 4th gen. I will though for sure. Right now audio is on hold, got into it with my dad. Said I can't put anything in it till I finish paying it off. He threw a fit and a half when my new deck came in the mail today. He's a car audio natzi!
