Silver Member Username: DeadrabitPost Number: 655 Registered: Jun-07 | i don't really need anything much bigger than 140, what i have now is only 70 amp. he said it was 90 at idle |

Silver Member Username: DeadrabitPost Number: 687 Registered: Jun-07 | found on just like it that is 220 amp and 90 to 100 and idle |

Post Number: 8585 Registered: Jul-06 | "found on just like it that is 220 amp and 90 to 100 and idle" Not bad but if possible get a bigger alt because when you come to stop lights and stop signs you'll need the extra amperage during idle. That is unless of course you like doing brake torques =/ |
Silver Member Username: DeadrabitPost Number: 691 Registered: Jun-07 | welp! ill just try out the 220 |
Silver Member Username: DeadrabitPost Number: 692 Registered: Jun-07 | he said he can put adifferent pully on it so it will get more like 130 or 140 at idle but i might have to get a new belt. does all this sound normal? |

Gold Member Username: MixmastaspigTeam RD, Canada Post Number: 1772 Registered: Sep-05 | I seem to have no luck with my HO alts Excessive Amperage: 1st one (200a) squelled like a mofo when starting up the vehicle, when I came to a stop or when I cranked my stereo up. That one died over the winter some how. Motor City Remanufacturing: New 160a alt is much better, no squeels but it seems to stop charging completely when I come to a stop and remain in drive as I drop to 12v.. |
