Tuesday, August 05, 2008 - 21:48 GMT Should i go with 2 12" sealed in the optimal size box or 2 10" ported in optimal size box and tuning frequency. Each sub will be getting about 1300-1400rms

Wednesday, August 06, 2008 - 01:00 GMT I take it you are wanting SQL leaning towards SQ.. IMO the XXX's sound good enough sealed and would still be loud. I would go with the 12's incase I wanted to port them later and go more SPL(which I personally lean towards). either way I would like to see pics and vid's on your setup... I love the XXX's..

Wednesday, August 06, 2008 - 01:26 GMT The XXX is one of the top subs over the last decade and just in recent years is seeing some competition in the high output SQ category. The 12's in particular are incredibly detailed. A Scott Atwell masterwork. One of those subs that just has to be inverted. The Fi Q uses the same cone, surround and basket as the original XXX.

Wednesday, August 06, 2008 - 01:44 GMT Not disputing your post Brad, but i was of the opinion that the Q and XXX used different surrounds. well you live and you learn.

Wednesday, August 06, 2008 - 14:46 GMT so do you think i should go with 2 12" sealed or 2 10" ported. I want them to sound good but ill probly choose the setup that has more output.
