Monday, August 04, 2008 - 14:23 GMT I used to run SX 15"s at 28hz.. never complained about the lows.. they got down I'd retune.. keep in mind your only running 1 12" so you can only expect so much What kind of power are you running? box specs? port placement? how many square inches of port?

Monday, August 04, 2008 - 15:28 GMT I'm w/ Kevin, I also ran an SX15 a few years ago. Had it in an ext silverado in 5cuft tuned to 29hz. On a JBL BP1200.1, that setup did 142's at 32hz. SX's can get low and loud...mean daily subs. Try that SX12 in 2.5cuft tuned to 30hz or so. Try the 15" in 4.5 at 30hz.

Monday, August 04, 2008 - 16:45 GMT i like the way the 15 sounds its just that the 15 made the 12 sound weak. the 12 is on 1500 watts 1.8 cu ft tuned to 36hz 18sq inches of port sub forward (only way it can face) port side

Monday, August 04, 2008 - 16:49 GMT not enough port area for that size box.. rebuild with 2cubes after displacement .. 32 square inches of port tuned to 30hz and youll be happy .. hopefully if not add a second btw, why not just run the 15" in there? bucket seats and a center console with it downfiring FTW
