Platinum Member Username: InsearchofbassPost Number: 10049 Registered: Jun-04 | Your going to need a lot of power to run three heavyweights. You might want to step down to a lower line if your going with rd. What kind of power do you plan on running. And yes it would be a good spl vehicle but space will be some what of a limiting factor with trying to keep the box below the window line. |

Square body S10's are in the top 3 best vehicles for Stock classes. And a huge advantage w/ them is you have the bed for amps/batts. BTW, you wanna sell it |
Gold Member Username: SouthernrebelMonroe, Louisiana 2 DD3515s, 2... Post Number: 6581 Registered: Mar-04 | BTW, w/ a good box you could easily do 150+ w/ 3 little ole' JBL GTO15's. lol |
Gold Member Username: Loc_outSOCAL2 RE 15 XXX Post Number: 2335 Registered: Feb-05 | IF the sub's are close to a G. Plus amp's/alt/batt man that's going to be one expensive setup. |
Platinum Member Username: InsearchofbassPost Number: 10053 Registered: Jun-04 | Ive seen two l7 10's do a 147 in a truck like the s10 extend cab on 3000 watts rms in a burp box so yeah the truck will get loud. Not that im recommending the l7's. The first thing I would do is find out how much cubic feet you would have and then pick your subs around that because 15's dont take small boxes and you want to make sure you can give them the right airspace. As for the frequency the truck will like I know the guy that had the truck similar to the s10 I was speaking of hit best at 63 hz but he used alot of bass boost so that probably was not the true frequency of that vehicle. |
Gold Member Username: SouthernrebelMonroe, Louisiana 2 DD3515s, 2... Post Number: 6583 Registered: Mar-04 | Chris... Just how loud do you want to get? You could do some mid-level 15's in that truck w/ ~2.5-3kw and get really loud. |
Bronze Member Username: SnacksQuincy, Florida USA Post Number: 50 Registered: Jul-08 | i reckon you have lots of money lol, 1k a sub is fockin rediculous |
Gold Member Username: Tatonka-[Team Audible Insanity]- Post Number: 2047 Registered: Mar-07 | I only run one 15" RD HW. It barely moves with 4krms on it lol. |
Bronze Member Username: Kenny_colemanPost Number: 39 Registered: Oct-07 | You need heavyweights in a mini if your running spl. Motor strength is important due to port size |
Gold Member Username: 420alldaylongPost Number: 3788 Registered: Sep-06 | "You could do some mid-level 15's" Its alway great to see people spend less and hit great numbers. |
Silver Member Username: RidinspinnasWindsor, Ontario Canada Post Number: 380 Registered: May-06 | yeah, i decided to do sonance, but would 3 have the advantage of 2 im getting the 3250, could i pick the right coil config and wire them to match the 3250 |
Silver Member Username: RidinspinnasWindsor, Ontario Canada Post Number: 381 Registered: May-06 | or should i just go with 2 and just adjust the gain for when i am doing burps? |
Gold Member Username: JakeyplaysbassSt. Louis, MO / ASU Post Number: 3248 Registered: Jul-05 | The RD Sonance is not an SPL sub at all... *confused* With that amp i would run 2 mmats juggernaut 15s at .7ohm for spl. |
Silver Member Username: RidinspinnasWindsor, Ontario Canada Post Number: 383 Registered: May-06 | its going to be daily, and sometimes for burps |
Gold Member Username: JakeyplaysbassSt. Louis, MO / ASU Post Number: 3251 Registered: Jul-05 | Ic ic...i was under the impression you wanted SPL subbies. My bad brohan. |
Silver Member Username: RidinspinnasWindsor, Ontario Canada Post Number: 385 Registered: May-06 | well daily, but iwanted to know if s10's period were good spl vehicles, in the future i might go bigger and better, but would they hit hard a,d subs towards windshield port up? or what? |
Platinum Member Username: InsearchofbassPost Number: 10058 Registered: Jun-04 | Besides the coil configuration make sure you even have the room to run three 15's because the right airspace for the sub is important. |
Silver Member Username: Hittin1Lake Charles, La. United States Post Number: 874 Registered: May-07 | subs foward port up would work |

Silver Member Username: TeamrevolutionATLANTA, GA USA Post Number: 321 Registered: May-07 | Zach is correct. Three 15" subs forward and the slot port facing up going the length of the box is a great start. We have some of the loudest s-10's in the world running RD and that is the box they run. three HW's have gotten up to 165.7 in that style box still under the window line. The Alpha's have gotten to 162.9 in one of our competitors s-10's |
Gold Member Username: Th3pwn3rI compensate... Post Number: 8445 Registered: Jul-06 | "Doesnt anybody listen to me? :-( 3 15's subs forward slot port up along back window" Nope. It's because you're a f ucker Steve, do you know the guy who was running 3 RD subs with 3 Memphis 4kws? I believe this was in a Toyota Truck. I want to say his name is Jack. |
Silver Member Username: TeamrevolutionATLANTA, GA USA Post Number: 322 Registered: May-07 | Kenny, But he sold the 4kw's and went with RD7500.1d's. He is over 160db with that setup. He also runs Alpha's |
Gold Member Username: Th3pwn3rI compensate... Post Number: 8447 Registered: Jul-06 | Ahh, I see. Those RD amplifiers are probably more efficient by far. Yea, I was pretty sure he was running 3 15'' Alphas. Cool guy too as far as I could tell from when I talked with him. He mentioned that he was going to shoot from some crazy numbers and he was bullsh1tting that's for sure |
Silver Member Username: RidinspinnasWindsor, Ontario Canada Post Number: 386 Registered: May-06 | ok guys im going to stick with 2 15's since they dont make the 18" sonance, i hope it sounds good, im gonna need a design to take to somebody to build the box |
Bronze Member Username: Kenny_colemanPost Number: 40 Registered: Oct-07 | Rob I was or wasn't bullsh1tting? Chris listen to Zac, myself and Steve do 3 15's or you will regret the waste of a box build later. |

Bronze Member Username: Kenny_colemanPost Number: 41 Registered: Oct-07 | Cool just had me wondering what numbers I said I was going to do. Thought maybe I needed to do some more work. |
Silver Member Username: RidinspinnasWindsor, Ontario Canada Post Number: 390 Registered: May-06 | ok can you guys help me figure out what i can wire them too? as far as i know i cant do it, i want to get the full power out of that amp so even if it comes out to like.875 of an ohm, that should work, it says on rdaudio.net that sonance are dual 4 ohm |
Bronze Member Username: Kenny_colemanPost Number: 42 Registered: Oct-07 | Steve can build any coil you want. |
Silver Member Username: RidinspinnasWindsor, Ontario Canada Post Number: 391 Registered: May-06 | ok guys i went and looked at this s10 it is a pile, shaved door handles, and a wire attached coming out the back window u have to pull it to get in, its bull$hit, going to look at a 96 chevy blazer tomorrow, should i still go with 3 subs in that blazer? wall it? or just a box whats the best setup for the blazer its going to be for daily use but want it to get really loud |
Bronze Member Username: Kenny_colemanPost Number: 43 Registered: Oct-07 | wall it |

Silver Member Username: RidinspinnasWindsor, Ontario Canada Post Number: 403 Registered: May-06 | i mean is it pretty basic? im not asking if u guys know if he can build it but i mean is it similar to building a box? |
Gold Member Username: JkidderWorlds gunna end, In 2012 Post Number: 3717 Registered: Nov-05 | kinda is and kinda isn't. your best bet is to look on ca.com under the build logs. theres several wall logs in there. see if you want to do that to your vehicle in the first place. wall and daily driver usually don't go in the same sentence but if you feel you can afford the extra gas it will cost to get from point a to point b go for it. about 90% of walls are permanent so if you plan on reselling the car its probably NOT a good idea. the cisco kid |
Gold Member Username: Th3pwn3rI compensate... Post Number: 8501 Registered: Jul-06 | "about 90% of walls are permanent so if you plan on reselling the car its probably NOT a good idea. " What?! Competitors tear out their walls all the time to gain that extra tenth of a DB all the time. They're far from permanent. |
