yes, I recently redid my panels and had to rip it all out. it was pealing off massively. go with raammat or something of quality. you'll be much happier that you did.
i was gonna tell you to get stinger road kill from chad geary. they give me a sheet of that stuff for $20. 6 sheets should cover the everything since you only need one layer. but the problem is classic is closing this weekend.
no they are closing down. chad geary is gonna go work at another shop near classic autosound.
now as for 20 bux a sheet, well thats me and berny's price. lol. if you want some then you gonna have to ask me or beny to go buy you some cause i think he charges other people more.
how much of an improvment does the P&S make when applying it under the headliner? Can it be used to completely (or close to it) seal off the door panels? Tailgate?
I have 3 layers of it on my roof. It worked wonders.
Back when I was doing 150-151 w/ no deadening, my roof was going crazy. It was horrible.
Now, w/ 3 layers and my truck doing 154's...the rattle is less back then.
Make sure you clean the surface well and you will be just fine.
Some types of that roofing-seal may smell a little at first, but w/ all the seal in my truck I get no smell. Even in 100deg heat w/ a dark blue truck, its fine.
One draw back though...on hot days my note drops 1-3hz. I'm louder at night and at indoor shows. (hint hint)
