Gold Member Username: DelsolePost Number: 1399 Registered: Feb-05 | If you want free music i would use torrents.. |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Northwest PA Post Number: 7947 Registered: Jul-06 | www.ruckus.com But the files are protected with DRM. When I get home I will upload the program that takes it off so you can do whatever you want. Also make sure you don't upgrade to windows media player 11 cause the un-DRM program only works with version 10 and lower. |

Silver Member Username: BonhamdTC, MI USA Post Number: 898 Registered: Nov-07 | are the torrents detectable like limewire, ares, bearshare, etc? |
Gold Member Username: Tatonka-[Team Audible Insanity]- Post Number: 2022 Registered: Mar-07 | Rofl. You are asking if downloading free music is detectable...on a public forum that is often the #1 google search result for any topic discussed on here. |

Gold Member Username: Tatonka-[Team Audible Insanity]- Post Number: 2024 Registered: Mar-07 | Daniel, anything is "detectable." You have just as much of a chance of getting busted as P2P programs Torrents and P2P programs is old news. It's all about NG now. If you download too much at a time (like going over your ISP's bandwidth limit in a month,) They CAN look into everything that you have downloaded. And you will get a nice letter in the mail listing the filenames of everything copyrighted that you have downloaded. |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Northwest PA Post Number: 7951 Registered: Jul-06 | Torrents are just as detectable or "dangerous" as any other p2p type software. Ruckus on the other hand is LEGAL. Stripping the DRM off the files is not but they can't detect that since you do that on own after you've already downloaded it legally. And heres the program that does it http://www.sendspace.com/file/lbjaf9 |
Gold Member Username: DelsolePost Number: 1405 Registered: Feb-05 | Torrents might be just s detectable but there alot more unlikely to harm your computer because you know what your downloading and you usually only download off reputable sites. also you try and download whatever has the most seeders and leechers. people wont download it if its a bad file. i like bit torrent as the program then i use demonoid and piratebay to find my torrents. |

Silver Member Username: Hittin1Lake Charles, La. United States Post Number: 827 Registered: May-07 | alright, I gave utorrent a shot last night.... Worked great.. Got "The Dark Night" last night and it wasn't P_ORN! lol(side note: can't type P_ORN on this forum lol) As for now I will continue to use Ares for music.. But I will keep Utorrent for Movies... Especially the newer released movies.. thanks for the advise. |
Silver Member Username: LuisdelbronxBronx, NY USA Post Number: 242 Registered: Jan-06 | how can you guys use torrents and not know about peerguardian? i used to get letters from my isp saying that a movie company or game company caught me and they want me to take it down or else further action would be taken. So i googled and found out about peerguardian, it basically blocks known goverment or mpaa ips from p2p programs so their chance of catching you lowers by ALOT. and i've never gotten another letter since using pg for the last year(knock on wood). So go get peerguardian. http://phoenixlabs.org/pg2/ |
Gold Member Username: AdddisorderPalm Beach, Florida Post Number: 6326 Registered: Jan-06 | peer gardian still doesnt include vista they say it should be out soon but its been about a year of saying that. |
