I got my BL in and plan on starting a FG box on Wednesday but Im still working on the details...
It is going behind te driver seat and my idea so far is to have the sub mounted facing the passanger headrest. What Im stuck on is should I go ported or sealed? I listen to 80% rock (norma jean, underoath, devil wears prada, chiodos, scary kids....), 15% country and the other 5% is between softer stuff and rap. If I do go ported I was thinking 1.1 cu ft. after displacements and 33hz. Also should the ports be close to the floor, facing the pass. side or on top, facing the roof? I just want this to look and sound good.Anyone agree/disagree or have any input? Thanks
I think 33hz sounds great on juturna, to give you an idea, for metal, you may want to tune higher, I would think (don't know for sure, as I've never experimented)
im getting numbers all across the board... maybe I should build a few mdf boxes first and figure out what sounds best before I spened the time and money on a FG FG box. haha
