What power handling range are you looking for? What tuning freq? How much space? Someone could say a DD Z 18 but then find out you have 1000rms and 2ft^3 to work with. No single sub will have the best results in all spl applications.

I am a car guy when I build an engine for somebody I build it for Torque because the horsepower takes care of itself. The same applies to car audio I think Because if Im bagin some serious SPL Im gonna need some terrific highs if I wanna hear them!!!

Alright, when competing for SPL make sure you have plenty of tweeters installed in your vehicle =/

If money was no object i would have a straight sq setup. There will always be someone louder than your daily driver, so theres no point to it. Dont get me wrong i like bump just as much as everyone else but it gets old.
