i saw in a thread on another forum that if you have a subwoofers in a convertible you will lose 85% of your sound with the top down..how true is that? and will it help if the subs is facing towards the cabin
my wife did driveby in meca with top up and did like a 109db 30 sec, then with top down did a 114db 30 sec avg on music this was with 1 12". so a 5 db loss but not 85%
what you looking for i have some equipment for sale. what do you have in mind for sound? i would think you are wanting a groundpounder with that type of car. take 1g for electrical upgrades and wiring so 3g left i have 2 amps that would burn up almost half of that alone. almost 7000w of real power.
i would do 2 15 fi btl or 2 15 dc lv4xl and possibly 2 15 tc 5200 any of those on 2 my rd3250.1 will pound like crazy!!! take a 14cf box tuned at 28-30hz will be low and loud that will also leave ledtover change for a nice deck and comp. sets. of course the the sub depicts the box.
I've done an install with a single 10 tsx in a benz clk convertible and of course it was louder with the top up but still sounded great with the top down.
