Clarion disk changer to clarion deck NEED HELP!!!

hey i got 1987 toyota 4runner and just installed a brand new Clarion DXZ585USB and trying to install this brand new Clarion DCZ625 6cd changer but when i plug the cord into the back where it goes it doesn't work...help plz!!!!!
