Just wondering what the difference between the current gen Si Mag(i know the new ones' coming out) and IDMAX's would be both in 12". I'd be running both of them sealed in manufacturer's spec boxes. and 800wrms a piece. are they comparable SQ wise? and what about SPL?
I have not heard the ID Max but I will say I have been very happy with the Mag. It has killer lows, sounds great, gets loud for a daily driver, and so on and so on. Just for reference reasons, I hit a 135.0 at 41hz in a 3.0cuft sealed box off my Hifonics 1206d (probably around 900rms).
The ID Max is a great sub as well which I looked at when deciding between subs.
It is hard for you to lose when picking between these subs. It's win-win.
