I installed my amp and subs over the weekend and now all of my radio stations come in staticy. The car is an 06 chevy impala, and the cd deck is a alpine CDA-9856. The same thing happened in my last vehicle. Has anyone had this happen or know why it is happening?
try finding a better ground place for your amp. i had that happen to me once so i grounded the amp at a different place it went away. a good solid place.
infact you can test it to see if its the ground. get yourself a long cable and temporarily ground it to the battery's negative. just run the cable outside the car since its just for testing. then see if it still makes that noise. if it does then its not the ground.
