Ok, first, I have an Alpine 350 watt V-power AMP, its 350 watt RMS. I bought an Alpine 12" type R DVC 4ohms. My amp will do 2 ohms, but only at 350 watts with 700 watt peak. The sub does 500 watt at 2 ohms, 1500 peak. So obviously the amp won't push the sub fully, but I have a new amp coming next week. But, until then, I want to run this one.

So, which jumper do I need to wire it at 2 ohms? I am really new to the whole audio scene, so please explain in dummy terms. I kinda figured, I can either spend 800$ to get a $200 stereo, or 200$ for a 200$ stereo. The downside, I have to wire it all.

So, beings my amp is already hooked up and wired, and I just need the sub hooked up to the box, what do I need?

Wire it like the first diagram. Sub will be wired to a 2ohm load so your amp will be giving it 350wrms. Since the sub is 500wrms your not underpowering it to much.

Ok. I understand up to that point. The part im confused on is the jumper cables themselves. I typed in Speaker Jumpers in a few places, one being ebay, and they range from 4$ to 300$. I would prefer to just go somewhere like Cartoys, but I have no idea what I need as far as the jumper wires go. So, which jumper cables do I need for that?

they come with the sub. you can do the same thing by wiring both pos. together and both neg. together so you have one set of speaker wires. understand? the jumpers are just for convenence.
