Silver Member Username: NvmyboomPost Number: 321 Registered: Jul-06 | budget is low, so what would be a good choice, like $250 or less would a massive audio p1000.1 be good? |
Silver Member Username: NvmyboomPost Number: 322 Registered: Jul-06 | ^they also have flatwind coils |

Gold Member Username: 420alldaylongPost Number: 3669 Registered: Sep-06 | AQ1200D $249 shipped |
Gold Member Username: 420alldaylongPost Number: 3670 Registered: Sep-06 | I heard a DD M1a on 2 Fi SSD 12's and it was bangin hard and sound good. And the AQ1200D is a close match to the M1a from what Ive heard/read. |
Silver Member Username: MmaudioconceptsPost Number: 495 Registered: Jan-07 | for a low budget check these out http://cardiscountstereos.com/catalog%20page.asp?Product+%23=PPAM20001 and http://cardiscountstereos.com/catalog%20page.asp?Product+%23=NVAM25001 the second one is roughly 1800wrms for like $219. tht website made a mistake and is charging too low of a price. ITs a great amp. I have personally seen it in action and know two authorized dealers who sell it for $450+ |
Silver Member Username: NvmyboomPost Number: 325 Registered: Jul-06 | does anybody else have any comments or know anything about this fusion amp for %219? link is up above^ |
Gold Member Username: JuliobSanto DomingoDominican Re... Post Number: 5374 Registered: Dec-05 | ^me too. |
Silver Member Username: MmaudioconceptsPost Number: 498 Registered: Jan-07 | i know i have already commented but its a true competition amp. it comes with a 300amp in fuse. |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Northwest PA Post Number: 7739 Registered: Jul-06 | " AQ1200D $249 shipped " X2 best amp you're going to get new for $250 |
Silver Member Username: MmaudioconceptsPost Number: 500 Registered: Jan-07 | id still take the fusion, more power, lower price, its different, and just becuase fusion hasnt hit everyones town yet doesnt mean its not good quality equipment. |
Silver Member Username: NvmyboomPost Number: 327 Registered: Jul-06 | well, i need more power than the AQ1200D, both my FI's can handle 1000w rms apiece, that fusion amp that puts out 1800w rms for $220 seems to be a really good deal, i just need to know if it will be reliable and stuff like that... |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Northwest PA Post Number: 7744 Registered: Jul-06 | You don't NEED the maximum power handling of the sub. Which by the way is 800w each for those. And if that fusion amp has a current draw near 300 amps to produce 1800w it's efficiency must REALLY suck. I have an amp that does 3000w that draws less than 300 amps. |
Gold Member Username: 420alldaylongPost Number: 3694 Registered: Sep-06 | The word competetion is losely used these days. |
Gold Member Username: 420alldaylongPost Number: 3695 Registered: Sep-06 | And 1200RMS for those subs would be just fine. |
Silver Member Username: NvmyboomPost Number: 328 Registered: Jul-06 | i originally had a Hifonics 2006D running them, and it did really good pushing them. Would the AQ1200 with a second or third battery added be louder than wat it was with the Hifonics? Also, with a stock charging system and with the big three done, is adding a second or third battery a good idea or not, i know a HO alt would do better but i dont have the money for one and a battery or two would be alot cheaper. and my subs can handle around 1000w rms apiece, or so i have been told cause they have flatwind coils |
Silver Member Username: MmaudioconceptsPost Number: 501 Registered: Jan-07 | first of all who said that because an amp has a 300amp fuse that it had a 300amp current draw? its a comp amp..it puts out 1800wrms at a certain voltage. the more voltage you throw at it the more it puts out...just because u have no experience with an amp doesnt mean you have to talk some1 else out of it.. |
Silver Member Username: MmaudioconceptsPost Number: 502 Registered: Jan-07 | the 300 amp fuse is on the power wire, the amp itself does not have external fuses. |
Silver Member Username: MmaudioconceptsPost Number: 503 Registered: Jan-07 | my bad its like a 200 or 250 amp fuse,,i had my kicker wiring kit on my mind i ordered |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Northwest PA Post Number: 7757 Registered: Jul-06 | Now 200 sounds about right for an amp that size. |
Silver Member Username: MmaudioconceptsPost Number: 504 Registered: Jan-07 | the amps are gone form their website now, i knew the prices were mistake. i guess no1 caught that deal |
Gold Member Username: 04redmach1Columbus, GA USA Post Number: 2075 Registered: Mar-06 | NV, do not go with a P series amp form Massive. I had soooo many issues with them and the warranty started becoming a pain through the company. Between me and another dealer we had ALL class a/b amps go out and over 20 P series mono blocks. I suggest look elsewhere. As for the Fusion, I know back in the day the encounter series sucked and so did the powerplant IMO. The Jonah Lamu series was the only thing worth a crap. Not sure about the new ones though. Kevin |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Northwest PA Post Number: 7799 Registered: Jul-06 | ^^^^^ Indeed, fusion does have a history of sucking. And I never liked massive those were crap..... glad you stopped selling them Kevin |
Silver Member Username: MmaudioconceptsPost Number: 505 Registered: Jan-07 | the encounter series still does suck, the powerplant is pretty good, and the NV is top notch... a lot of companies have bad lines for example lanzar. they have a lot of lines that suck but their opti line is top notch |
Silver Member Username: MmaudioconceptsPost Number: 506 Registered: Jan-07 | how about Soundstreams new PCX line you can find the PCX 1500D pretty cheap. |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Northwest PA Post Number: 7801 Registered: Jul-06 | Umm Lanzar opti line is barely decent and definitely not top notch...... terrible efficiency. |
Silver Member Username: MmaudioconceptsPost Number: 507 Registered: Jan-07 | i knew u would say that, you always have somethin to say, and you always have to have the last word |
Gold Member Username: 420alldaylongPost Number: 3711 Registered: Sep-06 | Lanzar Opti top notch |
Silver Member Username: MmaudioconceptsPost Number: 508 Registered: Jan-07 | yeah i know its not top notch but compared to their other lines, its top notch to the brand itself..i didnt mean comparable to hi end lines by any means.. |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Northwest PA Post Number: 7805 Registered: Jul-06 | Thats what I thought you did mean...... yes it is definetly Lanzar's best line. |
Silver Member Username: NvmyboomPost Number: 330 Registered: Jul-06 | so wat should i get..... |
Silver Member Username: KillswitchjdPost Number: 763 Registered: Apr-06 | blackblocs you are stupid as hell. no lanzar opti's are not good, average at best. so that powerplant sucks just as much as audiobahn or other lower line products. May work fine, may fail, may start a fire. |
Silver Member Username: MmaudioconceptsPost Number: 515 Registered: Jan-07 | im not stupid as hell, by far. it is just an opinion in which everyone has. like M.S. states above, i meant to say it is lanzars best line. by the way nate, u r a b!tch just because u are trying to start sh!t also |

Gold Member Username: JuliobSanto DomingoDominican Re... Post Number: 5395 Registered: Dec-05 | M.S that's for you, lanzar optidrive 2000d |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Northwest PA Post Number: 7890 Registered: Jul-06 | Thats all good for the 2000d. Have one of those for the 4000? Although you probably wouldn't care to post it being that the 4000d's efficiency is around 55% |
Silver Member Username: MmaudioconceptsPost Number: 517 Registered: Jan-07 | I think the point is that amps shouldn't be judged on brand alone or even in some cases the line it is in. If that were not the case then we could all say memphis sucked because the memphis 4kw has problems will certain voltages. |
Silver Member Username: KillswitchjdPost Number: 772 Registered: Apr-06 | apples and oranges kid... the memphis 4kw has a huge current draw yes and if powered on the low end may have issues. whos to say that bench test sheet wasnt just made up??? I dont recall regulations for these tests... |
