Yes, another build log lol.
Today I started on my spl install and I will hopefully be done tomorrow :D. Canaan and me finished this box a week ago. Everywall is double walled except the top and bottom, and the baffle is tripled.

Anywho, off to the pics :-)

This is the amp rack. The amps will be mounted longways. One of the side, one of the bottom. More pics tomorrow of this since it is hard to explain lol.

Since the amps wiegh so much and wood alone was not sturdy enough to hold it, I created some 90degree angle brackets to brace it. Black iron FTW!

T-Nuts are such a hassle to deal with when it comes to MDF, so I bought some "Hurricane Nuts" to experiment with and they work out awesome.

Got the sub mounted in the box.

Put the car on the ramps to run another run of 1/0 to the back

Got it simi-ran lol. Will finish it up tomorrow.

very nice nick. I can imagine myself living there out in the open. I hate to be bothered sometimes. I need to get away.

Looks good Nick. Make sure to use some epoxy around those hurricane nuts if you didn't already.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm really hoping to get this up tomorrow. I got to pick some some 6 gauge terminals and then put them on my speaker wire. I also have to insert the ports into the box. Lots of work to do, so little time.

Looks good. Noticed the stock looking battery. What is your charging looking like?

Charging:
I have a stock battery up front right now, will be changed later when I save up some more cash.

Big 3 done in 3/0 wire.
Soon to have a 200amp alt.
Two runs of 1/0 to the back.
Kenetic 2400 in the back also.

On 2krms at idle, voltage never dropped below 13.7 on music.

For burps, I have another batt I will throw in the back.

Thanks Gibson :-)

Ok guys, today I got almost all of it done. Ran out of time tho. :-( So tomorrow I really should have it playing since all I have to do is make up a remote wire and plug it all in.

Pics and vids tomorrow ftw.

RUN A JUMPER!!! That's what I would do just to see what it sounds like :-) Then I'd run the permanent line for the remote later. Awesome work, looks real sweet, same with that pool.

Hey Nick, you plan on putting Aeros in there? What are your expectations on a box like that and how is it to be installed? I have done the same and can give you a pretty good idea what to expect. Polo..

I'm using 3 4" Aeros tuned around 50hz. The box will fire into the cabin. My expectations is a guessing game atm since I don't know much about this sub.

yeah those rd subs are a little different than the usual sub from what ive seen when your trying to get max spl out of them....they also need a good amount of power when used for spl
