Silver Member Username: HowtoeatapencilPost Number: 123 Registered: Mar-08 | I bought an alpha, and an Exonic EX 200dx http://www.ampleaudio.com/product3.html (bottom amp) And i was planning on running the alpha at 1 ohm with about 1000 watts on it due to the limitations of my charging system (70 amp alternator) I have some 0 gauge wire, but i was thinking, if this amp is rated at 800 watts at 4ohms, and i run it at 4 ohms it will be more efficient, and there would be no problem pushing the full 800 watts. Will there be a big difference between 800 and 1000 watts to the alpha?? Kevin Holden told me i would be able to run the alpha at 1000 watts without any problems, but would it still wear out my alt faster??? What would you do? |
