I simply want to take a minute to say...this place rocks. Minimal bltching at each other as compared to places like CA. No abuse of moderator powers such as with SoundDomain or CA. Just free speech and good discussion. So to that, thank you to whoever the heck runs this place.
i just like to take the time and say thank you to exige audio. everyday when i am driving to work listening to my music, i am just shocked at my revo. i mean this thing is a sq beast and exige audio made it happen.
Only thing I do wish is that I wish we had a few Mods in the Car Audio section because sometimes we have idiots who come and spam the forum and it takes the Admin sometime to get rid of the mess.
Whats cool is the fact that its not moderated, yet we have less BS going on than the other forums that are. Over on CA the mods, many times, contribute to the BS.
Dear Lord Baby Jesus, or as our brothers in the South call you: 'Jee-suz'. We thank you so much for this bountiful harvest of Dominos, KFC, and the always delicious Taco Bell. I just want to take time to say thank you for my family: my two beautiful, beautiful, handsome striking sons, Walker: Texas Ranger, or TR as we call him. And, of course, my red hot smokin' wife Carley, who is a stone cold fox, who if you would rate her @$$ on 100, it would easily be a 94. I also want to thank you for my best friend and teammate, Cal Naughton Jr, who's got my back no matter what...Dear Lord Baby Jesus, we also thank you for my wife's father Chip. We hope that you can use your Baby Jesus powers to heal him and his horrible leg. It smells terrible and the dogs are always botherin' with it.
Ecoustics ftw and every member on it except the select few :D
coming from probably the oldest ecoustics member on the board, a few oldies still around tho berny, longo and hunter ... its the place where ive learned everything i know ...
Some member mods would be nice as long as they don't let it go to their heads. Once the god complex sets in all hell breaks loose. IMO if we had them they should have limited rights. Any one mod can delete a post but it takes two to delete a thread or ban a member. Just to keep it a democracy.
Just shootin' the breeze cause we all know the admin likes his ship with only one captain.
Berny has been on board at least since Dec 2003. One of the most knowledgeable and friendliest members here. He swings back and forth from the states and serving his country overseas. I wish we had more members as mature and discrete as he.
What surprises me the most is the age of some of us. We have some 35 year olds who act 12 and some 16 year olds who I would tag unseen as 30. It's interesting.
Some ppl come here for advice, some to give it, some just to hang out. Everyone has something to contribute and as long as we continue to police ourselves as successfully as we have this place won't spiral into the gutter.
haha, as was said we all bring a unique quality to things. honestly depending on my anxiety and 50 other hobbies sometimes i need a rest esp from diagnosing headunit problems. i practiclly run that section lol, btw paul, times 10 on the whole 16 vs 35. as was said also i pretty much got my start on the forum and once my knowledge started to grow it took on a mind of it's own as to what i have learned. props and shout outs to all for making it a great expierience. btw might wanna do that bbq soon oil prices go up again that flight maybe double !
truthfully...this is where i learned my stuff also. ive been on here since around 2005...had a different username back then and didnt post too much except when i was looking to buy gear and needed advice....but there was tons of info.
i was over on sounddomain this morning where one of the mods went on a power-streak deleting about 10 posts after he knowingly and purposely lied and misrepresented a few brands...and then got owned for it by myself and another member or two. so he goes and deletes all the posts and then continues to bash. he's one of the main reasons why sounddomain went way downhill.
and CA...well..enough said. i'm on there all the time as well..but again i barely post cause i dont feel like dealing with the bullshit. many mods on powertrips...guys bltchin and moanin about what's better by.0000009%. i just appreciate the fact that we can have (mostly) civilized discussions here where everyone seems to get some great information. though it might not be the largest forum...i would say it's the most mature by a good margin. i'm interested to see how CA-F turns out though. i think they've got a lot of potential over there and i hope that place also becomes a great alternative to CA as it grows.
so anyways....just wanted to say i love this place as much as i did on day 1. it's nice to not have to deal with CA
