As with alot of pro sound power amps, with which this amp shares component design, the power ratings are not neccesarily half or double at steps in impedance. JBL is also just being ultra honest for the CEA ratings. This is a great amp for weird impedance subs like the quad TC's and the SoundSplinters. Another thing about Crown designs in general is that they bench far higher than the stated ratings. Some of these amps birthsheet over 2800@ 4. |
