Recently I bought a pair of Alpine Type S speakers 6.5" to replace a pair of burnt out speakers in my car. I have a Kenwood 70W RMS x4 at 4ohm amp. 100 at 2 ohm.
I find that these speakers lack the ability to fill the car with sound. They sound like they are far away. Also they are rather quiet. So I have to set the fader to the front. I still have my oem speakers in the rear and those are louder than my fronts. Unless I have somewhat of a balance between front and back it really has that far away sound.

I would like to replace these speakers.
I would like help deciding on a set of speakers that are clear, loud, and can sound good, I want speakers that can go low enough to where my bass doesn't all sound like it's coming from the trunk(where my sub is). I prefer a metallic tweeter.

I've looked into rockford fosgate, and infinity kappa, and the discus line from mb quart. I would prefer to stay away from a component setup because that involves drilling and it's harder to go back to stock when you change cars.

I would like to spend between 100-200 dollars but would be willing to spend more if I know that it makes a big difference.

What speakers would you recommend?
