Got a system in my jeep and don't know how to set up specs please help!!!

I have a Rockford Fosgate Punch 401s amp. I also have a Kicker 02TS10L5 Solo-Baric Subwoofer. I have 2 infinity reference 5 1/2 I have 2 Infinity Reference 6402cfp Reference Series 4"x6" Plate Speakers. I have a DEH P430 Pioneer Premier cd player.
NOW FOR THE QUESTIONS
1. i have bass options going from +6 to -6. I have it currently at +6 and it also asks hz level from 40 to 63 to 100 to 160. NOW WHAT THE HELL IS HZ, IS HIGHER THE BETTER OR LOWER THE BETTER. Higher seemed like it was louder so i have it on 160 right now. 2. Treble also goes from +6 to -6, WHICH IS THE BEST and what is best frequency level, 2k, 4k, 6k, or 10k? 3. should the subwoofer be at 0 degrees (normal) or 180 degrees (reverse). which one sounds better and how come? 4. Subwoofer setting adjustment. i have a choice of 50 hz, 80hz, and 125 hz. Which is the best and why, i currently have it on highest because it seemed the loudest. 5. WTF IS HPF????? and which is best setting, OFF, 50, 80, or 125 hz..
PLEASE GOD SOMEONE HELP ME. IT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!

man settin up those optionsi s all by ear, u want mostly the subs to have the lows (bass) and all uwant is hte speakers to give the highs (treb) it hard to tell u what to put the settings at. u set it by sound.
