Bronze Member Username: KenkenniPost Number: 58 Registered: Jun-06 | I am purchasing 2 Power Acoustik PW3-1OHs that are dual 4 ohm voice coils rated at 700w rms 2000w max. I want to push them at 80% to max the full rms rating. Should I go with one of the mono amps on the PA web sight or can you recommend an affordable amp in the $500 or less range. |

Bronze Member Username: KenkenniPost Number: 59 Registered: Jun-06 | Thanks for the replies so far. Has anyone heard these subs in person? I don't have many choices on 10" subs that will fit in my box. I have a couple of Pioneers thats been in my truck for the last year that I'm looking to replace. PAs new products appear to be better quality than their older products. For the price and ratings of this sub I think it should be just fine. I still have a brand new set of MOFO 10s from a couple of years ago that won't fit in my current box. I'll use those in my next vehicle. |
Bronze Member Username: KenkenniPost Number: 60 Registered: Jun-06 | Oh I forgot. I don't need the biggest baddest subs. Just something powerful but not overwhelming. I don't usually spend more than $150 per sub. And no more than $500 for an amp. Thats because there are lesser known brands out there that in some cases outperforms the expensive stuff. |

Gold Member Username: MgbcsLincoln, Nebraska Post Number: 2406 Registered: Dec-06 | Why don't you build your own box? |
Bronze Member Username: KenkenniPost Number: 61 Registered: Jun-06 | I don't have the skils , tools, or patience to attempt to build my own box. It is beyond my comprehension. Also my job requires me to travel to different states so I really don't have the time needed. I have a 2001 Dodge Ram quad cab and if you've seen the rear seat area you would see how your options are limited. I went to a shop down here that said an order for me to fit a custom box for the MOFOs the seat would have to be raised almost 12 inches.I think thats too high as I still want a couple of people to fit back there. |

He does awesome work and prices are low. www.fishercustoms.com Send him an email. Before you do that tho pick out some different subs. What is your budget? We can help you pick better subs for the money. |
