As long as your linked account is verified any payment you make using paypal will pull from the linked account, or back up funding if you have one set up. (Credit card, savings account, ect...). Example: Say you want to buy a $200 sub and only have $100 in paypal but lots in your linked account. The funds are drawn from your paypal first, then the balance from the linked account. If you have nothing in paypal it draws the whole amount from the linked account instantly, or if needed from your back up funding. I too used to wait the 3-5 days b4 it showed b4 I bought things.
