Post Number: 5284 Registered: Feb-06 | I've only heard the W7 and from what people have said I would say it or the Q would be close to the loudest. I'd say the IDMax has the best SQ. Again this is from reading reviews and responses about each woofer. |

Platinum Member Username: Rovin1 15 = 149.1DBsTrinidad & T... Post Number: 13546 Registered: Jul-05 | thanks to all 3 mikes & others for ur opinions ... im looking for new subs with very good to excellent sq but must be loud enough if i want to hear while working on anything in my garage had mostly 2 12s, single 12s b4 & even a 4 10 pioneer set ...dont want any 15s since box will be way too big & IMO 15s r on the boomy side thinking of maybe 2 10" FiQ with a single 4" aeroport on each sub in its own chamber tuned around 32hz off my orion 2500d amp in a wagon so it should be some sweet SQL .... |

Gold Member Username: The_image_dynamicSan Diego, California Post Number: 3799 Registered: Dec-06 | IDMAX. It is simply a great overall sub, loud and clean. Hits every note without problem. People like to say they won't take abuse, but I doubt that the Q or the 13W7 would make it through this torture test: http://www.realmofexcursion.com/videos/ImageDynamics/idmax12.7.wmv |

Silver Member Username: TreezIts not loud until it ... Post Number: 324 Registered: Aug-06 | I've owned all three subs and i personally think the 13w7- loudest no question 12idmax- best sq Q- had issues with the tinsel, but that should no longer be a problem as they've corrected their design... Try 4 10"IDMax for best transient response and the sq should be phenominal. You'd better had strap your tools to the bench... |
New member Username: SplxtremePost Number: 2 Registered: Apr-08 | Not sure why people comment on the upper end on a sub. In a true setup, the sub shouldn't being playing up in the midbass range. Your fronts should be able to handle down to 50-60hz. If setup right, you should get great performace with all those drivers. It all depends on YOUR preference. |
Silver Member Username: Drant19DUB-C, TX Post Number: 775 Registered: Aug-07 | i wouldnt let my midbass play below 80Hz... it says in the manual that they can but still a sub should be able to cover 80hz and lower and then midbass take it from there. |
Silver Member Username: Hurricanebr1anWestern Burbs of Chicago, IL Usa Post Number: 438 Registered: Sep-07 | I've never heard the IDMax but... I would say for a 10" sub I would say get the W7 over the Q. 10W7s are nice SQL subs and Qs get very low but overall I think the W7 is a better driver in that size. |

Gold Member Username: The_image_dynamicSan Diego, California Post Number: 3850 Registered: Dec-06 | "Idmax's do get loud, im not sure why people think they are strictly sq subs??" I have a theory about this. Either A) They haven't actually heard them or B) They have a cock shoved so far up their stupid ass that it kinked off a nerve to their brain. And yes, if you wondered, I am the voice of reason -- someone had to step up. |
Gold Member Username: JakeyplaysbassSt. Louis, MO / ASU Post Number: 2611 Registered: Jul-05 | I would def take the IDmax over the other 2. Ive heard all three of these subs and it takes the cake IMO. Brad and CB i completely agree that its supid people think they dont get loud. One of my boys had 2 12s in his explorer and it was very impressive, mid 140s with 1200rms. |
