Thursday, April 10, 2008 - 15:27 GMT If you want a single 12'' sub that will get loud it's a good sub. It will take quite a bit of abuse as well. It's a bit too heavy for a single sub if you ask me if weight is a concern.

Thursday, April 10, 2008 - 19:11 GMT Your actual price will determine imo if it's worth the money.

Thursday, April 10, 2008 - 20:21 GMT I've seen 18s sell for less than $500 these days, not worth it IMO.

Friday, April 11, 2008 - 00:17 GMT For 300 it's worth it. Don't listen to M.S. he would run one if given to him for free if he was sponsored by Kicker. The Solo X subs are for getting loud or SPL, lots of people talk sh1t and say they sound like complete garbage but don't listen to that nonsense. I doubt M.S. has ever heard a Solo X tuned to 32hz to know the sub's potential. I'd be surprised if he heard the sub period. Oh and just so you know Cameron, I used to own an 18'' Solo X in an enclosure tuned to 32hz.

Friday, April 11, 2008 - 00:25 GMT You don't tune a sub-woofer, you tune the enclosure or box that it's in. You can change the tuning by the size of the port or vent in the enclosure.

Saturday, April 12, 2008 - 22:06 GMT anywhere from 2k-2.5k on that sub would be great. however you should be aware of the electrical upgrades you will be needing to run that much power ($$$)

Saturday, April 12, 2008 - 22:23 GMT depends on your vehicle. you'll for sure need an alternator, which will be around 300, give or take some change. a new battery (not a must, but a should) will go for around 100. 1/0 wiring can be bought on here from some members for cheaper than elsewhere, and will probably cost at least 50

Sunday, April 13, 2008 - 00:04 GMT a good battery will cost more than 100, fyi. if you plan on playing music with your car off at all i would invest in a big nice battery such as kinetik or powermaster.
