It's a bit too heavy for a single sub if you ask me if weight is a concern.

Don't listen to M.S. he would run one if given to him for free if he was sponsored by Kicker. The Solo X subs are for getting loud or SPL, lots of people talk sh1t and say they sound like complete garbage but don't listen to that nonsense. I doubt M.S. has ever heard a Solo X tuned to 32hz to know the sub's potential. I'd be surprised if he heard the sub period. Oh and just so you know Cameron, I used to own an 18'' Solo X in an enclosure tuned to 32hz.
