Quick Help- BP power?

alright i am purchasing my FI Q 15 and it gives me the option of BP power? no idea what it is and i dont have enough time to e-mail scott. can anyone give me some quick info and advice, thanks.

ps. if needed my amp is the ed nine.1. 1200 @ 1ohm

basically the sub can handle more Watts RMS between 200-500 watts rms

I already bought it without the BP. Its going to be ok with an extra 200 rms right?

so do you think there is a good chance of blowing it? what do i look for to know if i'm giving it 2 much power?

If u set the gain right then you'll be just fine....

ok. when im setting the gain, how am i going to know when im putting to much power in? what will it sound like...

go there and put in the number of watts and the ohm its in. hook up a dmm to your speaker terminals on the amp. put a 50hz test tone on a cd and play that at 3/4 volume on headunit. set it to the number of volts the website gives you. and BAM, its done!

If your giving the sub too much power, the dust cap might get a little warm (it can also get warm from clipping too). I would say as long as your cap is cool to the touch you should be ok.
