Wednesday, April 09, 2008 - 22:42 GMT Strange you should mention that. I came across 2 W6V2's w/ some-what dry-rotted surrounds. I have actually seen a few like that (w3's and w6's).

Wednesday, April 09, 2008 - 22:47 GMT any surround made with foam will eventually dry rott unless maintained and treated humidity and moisture play a large factor in it so where you live will affect it

Thursday, April 10, 2008 - 01:24 GMT Agreed, all them little scuffs/scratches you get on your foam surrounds will eventually allow moisture to enter and evetually start turning to dust. Believe it or not but they are treated for mildue/moisture but when you scuff/scratch the surface it becomes a target to the elements. I myself have always used armorall on all my foam/rubber surrounds and even on the cone of every sub I have owned and has worked beutifully, just don't overdo it. Polo..

Thursday, April 10, 2008 - 01:40 GMT And cover them up if they're in hatchbacks facing up. The sun does nasty things to most anything.
