My current setup is as follow. HU: Eclipse 5500 Front Comp : Mmats 651 Sub : 15 RE XXX Amp Comp : 300/2 Amp Sub : Mmats 2100.1
What i plan on adding is a Second 15 XXX. A second Mmats 651 for the rear doors and a second 2100.1. All of this is going in a Avalnache? What do you guys think?
When I have people on the back of the truck. They can't really hear the front comp. This is how my front setup looks like. I think it would look cool if the back doors looked the same. What do you guys think? Yes a second 300/2 or an Amp that does 4x100 @ 4ohms.
if the Mmats 2100.1 is not strappable i'd suggest selling it and getting one large monoblock.. unless you want to mess around with gain matching.. i did my re 35.1s that way but even when both amps read the same voltage on one frequency they would change on others so the subs never really got equal power
sp look for a grommit or tape onto the factory speaker wires and pull your new ones through by pulling the oem out.. i would not suggest that if you want to use your factory setup one day or if you trade the car in
you can always drill a hole and use a grommit.. just go next to the factory location.. you could tape it together with the factory harness.. but if you drill make sure there is nothing behind where your about to make a hole
sorry lowlife i didnt mean to jack ur thread bud. yea i saw that rubber part but i can seem to get to it, lol...but ill try again, thanks kevin. lol i dnt want to drill nemore holes. ya ill probably leave the comps in there when i trade my car in becuz i already drilled a hole for the tweeters. so what do u guys do if u trade in ur car and want to remove the components? wouldnt it leave a big hole there on the panel?
i've traded in cars with no radio, seatbelts, and even with rear seat braces cut so the seat could not be bolted in..
if you do modify anything its best to source out stock parts to replace what you did.. not hard to do.. you can always sell your modified stuff on a car forum for your vehicle
yeah i asked him. he said it does what it says at .05 ohm which is a bit under 3000wrms. only way you can get more power is to mod the 1ohm version so it can be run at .05ohms.
