ok the amp is 500x1 @ 4 ohms the sub i think is a 4 ohm DVC so...how can i wire the sub to get a 4 ohm load? parallel = 2 ohm series = 8 ohm ? = 4 ohm? im a newbie please give me some advice.
If you only have one sub its not gonna work. So you would need a svc 4 ohm sub to be able to wire it at 4 ohms. Sorry.

No you can't get a 4 ohm load from one 4 DVC sub if you had 2 you could but not with one. You could get a 4 channel amp and bridge the 1/2 channels and the 3/4 channels and hook up each coil too one of the bridged channels. Are you could just buy another 4 ohm DVC eclipse sub. Are you may just need to play with your amp settings alittle. Then check and make sure all you wires have good contacts.
