nick New member Username: Nickr89 Post Number: 6 Registered: Mar-08	Posted on Thursday, April 03, 2008 - 03:05 GMT ok so i got 1 of my alpine type s's for cheap and i have a 2 sub box and i wanted to get another type s but i cant find any at my flee market(only getting it there because its cheap) but they have alot of other 12's i like so i was wondering if i can run a alpine type s and a cvr kicker sub off a 1200 watt amp in the same box

What are the voice coil impedance values for the Alpine and, if you already have it, the Kicker. If they'll wire correctly, you could do it temporarily until you find another Type-S.

cal payne Gold Member Username: Skibum12189 Cleveland Post Number: 2774 Registered: Mar-06	Posted on Thursday, April 03, 2008 - 04:48 GMT good choice comin' and asking first! it is really not recommended. different subs work/move/sound different and the setup in general probably won't sound good. a kicker cvr by itself, that'll sound nice. a type-s by itself, that'll sound just as nice. the two together...not so great. best bet = get a 12" box for the sub temporarily until you can find another type-s and then build a box for them to alpine's specs.
