Longer life * Lasts up to 2 times longer than traditional flat-plate batteries. Higher reserve capacity * Constant performance quality, which keeps your battery running at the same level even as it's being discharged. Optimal starting power * More power in the initial 1, 3, 5, and 10 seconds of the starting process than comparably rated conventional lead-acid batteries. Longer shelf-life (lower self-discharge) * Ideal for seasonal use, fully charged it can sit unused for up to 12 months at room temperature (or below) and still start a vehicle. Vibration resistance * 15 times more resistant to vibration than traditional lead-acid batteries. Leak-proof * Mountable in almost any position. red top...... Silver Member Username: DeadrabitPost Number: 291 Registered: Jun-07 | yellow top???? were is the cheapest place to get these |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Northwest PA Post Number: 7148 Registered: Jul-06 | No..... red top is the one you want for car audio. It releases power faster than a yellow top which is what helps you. That is if you have to get an optima. There are much better batteries out there for car audio purposes such as Kenitik or Odyssey. I recommend the latter. |

Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Northwest PA Post Number: 7160 Registered: Jul-06 | You WANT the battery to release power as fast as possible. When the engine is running it will get recharged right away. The only advantage of the deep cycle battery is that it can be drained and not damaged. The only time that would ever be useful is if you played the system for a long time without any type of charger on the battery (alternator, battery charger, etc.) Non deep cycle batteries are almost always more powerful. The exception is the Odyssey batteries. The provide a ton of power AND are deep cycle capable. The best of both worlds so to speak. |

Silver Member Username: DeadrabitPost Number: 293 Registered: Jun-07 | ya! big help!!!! so what battery would u recommend? |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Northwest PA Post Number: 7168 Registered: Jul-06 | The biggest one of these you can fit www.odysseybatteries.com is my recommendation. |
Silver Member Username: DeadrabitPost Number: 294 Registered: Jun-07 | so will i still use the battery i have now and just have this one wired up next to my amp??? would that be better? cause then i would have room to make my own rac so i could get a bigger one to fit |
Gold Member Username: Nd4spd18Northwest PA Post Number: 7171 Registered: Jul-06 | You would need to use an isolator for that which I don't recommend doing. Just replace the battery you have now. |
