Tuesday, June 08, 2004 - 03:50 GMT 8 ohms would require a 4 channel bridged amp per sub, can it not also be wired for a lower impedance>

Tuesday, June 08, 2004 - 03:53 GMT With the 8 ohm he you would be able to run both positive to positve and negative to negative and be able to use a 2 channel amp for a 4 ohm load.

Tuesday, June 08, 2004 - 04:02 GMT If you get two 8 ohm subs, and wire them in parallel, it'll create a 4 ohm load. That works well if you plan to get a 2 channel amp and bridge it. If you plan to run a mono subwoofer amp, then you should get 2 4 ohm models to create a 2 ohm load, as that is what most mono amps are optimized for.
