I'd get a Kicker ZX1500.1 I'd say thats about as good as the JL and can probably be found cheaper. That sub is dual 1.5 so obviously you have to wire it to 3 ohms, where that amp will do 1000+ watts. |

Ive heard that this driver can handle up to 2000 watts daily, is that true? Also would it be bad to wire the sub at .75 ohms instead of 3 to get more power from the amp? |

Your amp would go into protect mode b/c the impedance is too low. Or worst case, it blows the amp. |

I would say the JL is the better amp though b/c it's output and power supply are both regulated. Meaning it will produce the same power at any voltage, with any impedance 1.5-4 ohms. That would be useful if you ever decided to change the sub. |

I wish the guy that sold me the w7 would have sold me his 1000/1 but he gave it to his nephew. He gave me a great deal on the sub. $200 for the 13w7 in a 3 cu. ft. box tuned to 32hz. |
