I used to run the older model (Red amp) and I'm pretty sure it did it's rated power as I gained around 2.5db when I moved up to my RD 5750.1 |

I think the only difference between the 5kW and the 10kW is that the 10kW can be strapped with another 10kW to obtain 6krms 10k max. @M.S I never had an issue with the amp and it never even got warm. I heard they blow up when you try to give them 15v or higher though as they can not handle it. |
