What's the best system you've ever heard?

For me, as for subs: A guy I met at a small 1x comp had an older Jeep Grand Cherokee with two RE XXX 18" in huge box tuned to 29 hz, on an Orion 2500d amp. Imagine a great SQ system that can produce so much SPL that you can't listen to it at full volume. That was that system. As for components, CDT HD-62 were the best. So much that I bought the HD-52 set for my system. |

I was sort of sponsored by this company about 1-2 years ago then they just stopped talking to me. I think it was because no one wanted to spent 1 grand plus on an amp...lol Loudest vehicle would be my friend Curtis who hit just over 150db with 2x12" RE subs. I will be louder after I get my gear in!!! |

But if I heard it now I probably wouldn't think it was as loud as I did when I first heard it because Im so used to it now. |

Best I've done was 154.9, but I was still doing around 152 @ 32hz. As bad as it sounds I think mine is the best sounding too. I've heard a few vehicles where the owner claimed to have 4 figures in the speakers alone, (an entirely JL system sticks out in my mind) but they sounded distorted at even a moderate/low volume, and with no emphasis in the midrange. Many people around here like to have tons and tons of cheap tweeters everywhere, and fade to the rear of the vehicle because their 6x9s get louder than their front speakers.  My Realm Audio 6.75 comps sound really clean up front, and with my subs turned down real low it blends together really well. |

Post Number: 5679 Registered: Apr-06 | ive herd to many loud systems to mention most of em had clam shells i herd galacticmonkeys 4 18" BTL-nasty lowwss tommy "king of bass" i think he has 24 12s and alot of IA 20.1s--sh1t is just insanely loud.... jethro- does 154s on music has an astro van with 24 12s... john with the white astro van he had 16 12s in a diamond box prolly the cleanest 150+ music setup ive herd... and ive herd a few others... there is this one setup were the guy had nothing but 8" eminence speakers and that sh1t was jsut so harsh on the ears but i still didnt wanna leave loud low bass is soooooo different from loud highs and mids |
