got it hooked up, sounds better than expected, I wasn't certain how the port firing to the side would do, but it sounds great! although I've been wondering why my sub doesn't sound so loud lately, and I realized last night that some of the HU settings were off, so I have to reset the gains with the HU settings like they should be to get the full experience.

I'll get a vid in the next couple weeks, my girl has a great cam that would do the alpha some justice

Its pretty much impossible to tell if it will match your car unless you hold the actual carpet up next to the stock. If its off just a little bit, it looks like crap IMO.

yeah I know. that's why I don't want to order it online. My carpet used to be like a tan when it was new, I think, but now it's more of a light grey. and that bland charcoal grey that everyone uses gets really old, fast.

thats the thing with trying to match the color of the interior. its hard to find a exact match or something close unless you hold it up against it. that is why i like to go with a different color that looks good with the interior.

for example, if you have grey interior, black will look good. vice versa.

well the leather is "tan" what would look good with that, in your opinion?

I don't know if it's me or the fact that chad and I eliminated the l-bend in the port, but the bass just sounds tighter and a bit louder on some songs. as well is sounds "fuller" if that makes sense than the last box I built. So far, it's working great, I just need to reset my settings and then I can try and get a vid up

thanks Rovin, I don't like too much flash or flare

I don't think white would look good, maybe black, but thanks for the input andrizzle.

chad, you think a kx350.4 would do work with those comps and (eventually) coaxials in the rear?

im sure the lack of l bend had something to do with the improved sound...how much room does the port have to breathe inside the box and is this port tuning the same tune you used on it before...also the different port placement probably had an impact as well...(side firing)

I'm not sure how much space the port has to breathe on the inside, I'll have to check later as I can't do it now. yes it's the same tuning, 32hz, although my previous box was 2.5cuft with an l bend with a slant back. before that I tried a 3cuft at 35hz with aeros.

the nails aren't thick enough to do real damage. they are like 4d if that, I think they are more like 2d
