Friday, March 14, 2008 - 03:02 GMT Sound great? I guess SQ is REALLY subjective. I personally like the way L7s sound in the right install, but the RE should be more reliable if your friend doesn't know what he's doing. The RE will most likely have better SQ as well. If he just listens to rap then just get an L7. Its cheaper and probably louder.}

Friday, March 14, 2008 - 03:03 GMT Very very very few people say L5's sound good or any square sub at that. What are you powering those L5's with?

Friday, March 14, 2008 - 03:08 GMT id recommend the sx if you want to retain a little sq but go with the L7 if you just want to rattle your trunk i used to have an l7 but then got a sx so id say i made a better choice this time around jmo

I haven't spent the $ on the mids and highs to try to keep up with the solo's... I'm gonnas try to attempt to wall out my van.. Key word.... attempt! lol

Sunday, March 16, 2008 - 01:35 GMT at least 75% of S.Q is based on the install / box, not the subwoofer . if you have L5/L7s and they sound like S H I T you need to let someone else do your installs from now on! diy is not for everyone.

Sunday, March 16, 2008 - 01:48 GMT Im with Reese, the L7's can sound decent in a well built enclosure...Trust Me I would say sq is very subjective, and depends about 90% install and 10% equipment used.. SX>L7
