Silver Member Username: M0nkeyman692Post Number: 520 Registered: Feb-07 | im getting a suv this summer most likely a durango or a blazer or something. but until then i am driving an old jeep with a soft top that doesnt create a very good water seal. so... on the wheel well i have a bit of room where i can put a little sub where it will be safe from water and moisture. now the problem is i was something that will make bass for a very cheap price. i was even considering a bazooka tube since the amp is in it and would make it look neater since its in plain view on the wheel well. i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions. i dont want it to be tall and block my view out the side window so also another reason i was considering a bazooka tube. anyone know of a really cheap way to get some bass in a jeep? anyone have a bazooka tube they want to sell?? preferably the 10" one not the 6.5 (and for anyone whose saying wow hes a b(tch buying a bazooka tube i want you to know that i just bought an 18"XXX for my car when i get it and im gona be running full power to that. so this is just temporary and cheap.) |

Silver Member Username: MesodummTri-City, Az Usa Post Number: 448 Registered: Apr-07 | Okay because I just took back in trade for building a guy a bigger box, it for a 97 and has 2 12 RF's in it. |
Silver Member Username: M0nkeyman692Post Number: 525 Registered: Feb-07 | andrew: nope i still have it, sadly im a lil low on money till the summer so i havent gotten a chance to buy a home amp and build a box to use it as a ht setup, so i havent heard what it can do which bumms me out. but dont worry its in good hands and it will soon see the power it deserves. tj: yea i would normally put a sub in the back but its a soft top and a crappy soft top to say the least so its not too water proof which cancels my idea of putting subs there. im planning on putting some on the wheel wells by the back seat. just to last me till the summer. Paul: i think all 4 would do the trick. um im going to be working this week so hopefully some time later this week or early next week do you maybe wana start talking about payment and shipping? is money order cool with you? i dont have a paypal.. |

Silver Member Username: M0nkeyman692Post Number: 526 Registered: Feb-07 | oh naledge btw... and this is to Paul also... would those 8" sub boxes be too small to get the full movement out of those ed's cause they say they recommend like 1cuft sealed... or should i just build my own... |
Silver Member Username: M0nkeyman692Post Number: 527 Registered: Feb-07 | ok cool thanks also what u think about my previous post |
Platinum Member Username: WingmanaliveA pic is worth 1000 posts!! Post Number: 15010 Registered: Jun-06 | I actually have several of those boxes and tried a sub out in them. The box is just too small IMO. The sub just looks for more volume. I'd build my own if I were you. |
Silver Member Username: M0nkeyman692Post Number: 528 Registered: Feb-07 | yea thats what i was thinkin too. plus ive got snarl to help me out and he does well with building enclosures.. how do u think a kenwood KAC 9152d would do powering those at 4ohm. cause ive got one of those lying in my room right now and the specs say it puts out 400 at 4ohms.. |
