DD 2512 - 900w VS typer 1222D - 1kw+?

Here is my setup: https://www.ecoustics.com/electronics/forum/car-audio/434634.html I want to change my sub and i'm looking at DD 2512, but it comes only with 4+4ohm voice coils. My amp at 2ohm puts out 900wrms. So my question is: Which sub will be louder/cleaner/better at low freq, the alpine typer 1222D with 1+kw or the DD 2512 with around 900w? I'm open to other suggestions but my choices are limited due to i live in Europe and i can't find Fi, AA, SoundSplinter, Stereo Integrity and other American brands... So i beleive the best choices for my budget are: DD 2512 - 250¤ (used-very good condition) RE SE 12 - 299¤ (brand new, but a little over my budget). *I will sell the typer to a guy 140¤. The RE SE 12 from ebay is an option (it will cost me around 200¤), but i think it will not be much louder from my type-r. The DD 3512 is very expensive for me. Besides i know that it is not very good at very low freq. In my car i can fit only 12 in ported or 15 in sealed box. So what do you think, should i qo with the DD 2512 with 900w or should i keep my typer? Don't forget that i did 139.9db at 39Hz with the typer... |
