Could anyone explain how to hook up a car audio system including headunit, speakers, amps, and subs in a house? Or could they give me a wesite that would help? I know how to do most of it but I am not sure how to power it. Any help is good.
Thanks.

well you would need a power dc power converter. its easier to use a home stereo for speakers, then use a plate amp to power the sub. plate amps only work at 4ohms though

this would be the easy way to go.

Upload

Short of that, you need a dc 12 volt power supply, then just hook it up like normal.

Yes it has been tried 1000 times b4 and all end with the same result.

Car audio was designed and intended for the ride, not your room.

Play as you will however..........

If properly powered you can use car audio drivers in a home. It's just not advisable to try and connect car amps and HU's tho. Pretty sparks and ppl screaming usually follow lol. Mainly because ppl try stupid things, like bringing the car battery inside their bedrooms and connecting a charger to it while powering the system.

"The same result" is if bass in the home is what you're after and you're serious about it then you will eventually leave the car amps and HU outside and power the drivers properly.
